The multi-storey retail podium features an open-air concept with plenty of natural light and breezy walkways, making it a pet friendly space.
In Singapore, where shopping malls are well-regulated and cafes and restaurants enforce strict no-pet policies, discovering a genuinely pet-friendly shopping destination feels like a blessing.
I have visited this mall numerous times, often accompanied by my pet poodle. She adores the place, though she’s quite shy and only warms up to those who approach her gently.
You’ll appreciate the mall’s friendly and lively atmosphere. For pet lovers, it’s an absolute delight, definitely fun overload.

One Holland Village Singapore is more than just a shopping destination—it’s a community buzzing with life, offering cozy cafés for a quick coffee, gourmet dining for food lovers, and a unique blend of charm and sophistication that’s perfect for anyone, two-legged or four!
It is located in the heart of Holland Village, a popular neighborhood known for its laid-back vibe and unique mix of local shops and international brands.
One Holland Village, opened to the public on December 1, 2023, features an enchanting mix of shops, restaurants, and eateries in a village-like ambiance. Although it’s a relatively new mall, many pet lovers, myself included, have already discovered this gem.
Explore the vibrant One Holland Village, where shops and restaurants spread across three lively stories, centered around charming courtyards that create an inviting atmosphere. As you wander through the mall, you’ll appreciate the wide corridors between stores, amplifying the spacious feel.
The clever design encourages natural airflow, reducing the reliance on air conditioning in the podium and open area. However, be assured that all the retail shops and eateries are fully airconditioned.
Dogs Rule This Shopping Spot
Although this is a pet-friendly mall, dogs are the predominant presence, while cats are a rare sight. In my numerous visits, I’ve only encountered one cat, and she seemed frightened as dogs sniffed around her.
On weekends, an abundance of dogs can be seen walking and running about. Observing them is a delight in itself. When they encounter each other, the bold ones sniff and bounce around energetically, while the more timid ones simply stare with wide eyes. It’s reminiscent of a human cocktail party, just without the cocktails.
This is a pet friendly mall, but pets arent allow inside airconditioned cafes and restuarants, with the exception of two cafes, Surrey Hill Grocer and Plain Meredith. Two of the takeaway food kiosks, Caffeine Xpress and sourbombe Bakery allows pet inside.
The remaining cafes and restaurants welcome pets in their outdoor seating areas but do not offer pet food on their menus.
Many retail stores permit pets inside, provided they are kept in a carrier or stroller.

There are simple foods offer by the many cafes and restaurants around the mall, but there is also a wide range of international cuisine to choose from.

Surrey Hills Grocer
Surrey Hills Grocer is more than just a café—it’s a destination. With a menu celebrating fresh, high-quality ingredients and Australian-inspired flavors, it’s a haven for food lovers and their furry companions alike.
Indulge in favorites like smashed avocado on sourdough, hearty brunch platters, chicken schnitzel, or the tantalizing chili crab pizza. For something unique, try the mee siam capellini.
And yes, you read that right—there’s even a dedicated pet menu featuring 15 carefully crafted dishes for your four-legged friends.

Pets are welcomed indoors here – another pet-friendly gem.
Plain Meredith, is perfect for those who adore minimalist aesthetics and great coffee. Their pastries are a must-try, especially the buttery croissants. Pair these with a velvety flat white, and you’re in for a treat.
They offer a selection of unique and quirky options such as Squid Ink Prawn Laksa, Salmon eggs Benedict, and Tagliatelle Lamb Ragu.
For your fur babies, they have 7 items on the pet menu including Ducky Meatball and Baked Sassy Salmon.
With their Two Menus, One Table concept, you can have your shared moment with your pets.
Don’t forget to snap some photos of your pet lounging on their cozy indoor seating.

Matsukiya
Matsukiya is an exquisite Japanese charcoal grill restaurant serving kushiyaki, grilled skewers with a hugh selections of chicken parts, pork, beef, seafood and vegetable.
Their popular kushiyaki are all grilled over Binchotan, or white charcoal. This ensures perfect heat consistency for that succulent meat, tender and juicy.
Some of their more popular dishes are wagyu Ikura Don (rice bowl of Miyazaki A4 ribeye and salmon roe on burdock rice), charcoal grilled Spicy Tontoro with extremely crunchy outside (Pork jowl with chilli oil), Unagi Donabe (eel on claypot rice), and many other dishes.
A simple recomendation would be to try their Spicy Tontoro or the Bone-in Iberico Pork chop.

If you are looking for a restuarant that live by wood grilling concept, this is the place. The menu offers a diverse selection of meats, seafood, and fresh, high-quality produce. The owner of the restuarant claimed that a primal and soulful experience awaits you here.
This is a pet friendly space with 34 seat shaded outdoor terrace.
The main courses feature an array of expertly grilled dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. This mouthwatering selection includes standout options like the 6-Hour Wood-Fired Pork Belly, perfectly paired with a smoky apple ketchup. Each dish is crafted to deliver an unforgettable dining experience.
Savor their Flanken Beef Short Ribs, a crowd favorite served with an array of accompaniments, including flavorful chimichurri. Expertly seasoned with a signature house blend of paprika, black pepper, and chili powder, these ribs deliver a perfect balance of bold and savory flavors.
If you’re still hungry, don’t miss their Dirty Duck—expertly seasoned with aromatic spices, Sichuan peppercorns, and cumin, then grilled to perfection over an applewood-fired flame.
There are more that you should try- their Watermelon Feta Salad, Bone Marrow Toast, and for sharing, their Octopus Tentacles. You will thank me later.

Warabimochi Kamakura
Warabimochi is a type of mochi made from bracken starch. It is silky smooth, soft, and jelly-like in texture. It is definitely not as chewy or sticky as regular mochi.
For anyone unfamiliar with mochi, it is a traditional Japanese delicacy made from mochigome, a type of sweet glutinous rice that is transformed into a soft, chewy dough.
Typically, it is generously coated in kinako (roasted soybean powder) or matcha powder, and finished with a drizzle of kuromitsu syrup, adding a rich, flavorful touch. The powder might be messy, but the joy of eating it makes it all worthwhile.
Ramble Travelers Pro Tip: When enjoying Warabimochi, be mindful not to inhale deeply, as the fine powder can be easily drawn in, potentially causing a cough.
The Warabimochi comes in 5 or 10 pieces box with sweet syrup which you can add to it before eating them.
You should not miss the drinks too, such as coffee, macha, and hojicha. It goes well with the Warabimochi.
Stop! You can miss the drinks but never miss the warabimochi dessert-drink combination. They are flavourful and chic, such as Strawberry Yogurt, Coffee Milk, and Macha Lemonade topped up with Warabimochi pieces and whipped cream topping.
I like the coffee milk best. Drink of my life.
Be aware that there might be a long line in front of the shop. The last time I visited, I waited 25 minutes in line before reaching the counter to place my order.

Sourbombe Artisanal Bakery
If you love doughnuts, you’ll understand why this is the ultimate reinvention of the classic treat. Sourbombe takes doughnuts to a whole new level, living up to its name with a variety of incredible flavors. Each one is a bite of perfection.
The doughnuts are fluffy and filled to the brim with custardy fillings of different flavours. Some of the popular flavours are Blueberry Cheesecake, Bronte Pistachio Bombe, Brown Butter Kaya, White Coffee and many more.
The flavours are strong, rich, velvety but not too sweet. Overall a well done reinvention.
On sales are also Bombes with Smoked salmon Cream cheese and Chilli Crab with Sakura Ebi Pangratta.
A quick tip: take small bites of your doughnut to avoid the filling spilling onto your clothes.

Xiang xiang Hunan Cuisine is a chinese food restuarant well known for their Hunan Culinary traditions. The dishes are rich in spices, offering a vibrant flavor and an enticing, aromatic scent.
One of their most popular dishes is the Golden Broth Sour and Spicy Fish. Tender slices of fresh fish are cooked to perfection in a tangy, aromatic broth infused with spices, crisp pickles, and salted vegetables. This soup is a true explosion of flavor that must be tasted to be fully appreciated.
